Sunday Rituals…

Sundays always used to be my favourite day of the week, until it got to 4pm and the back-to-work dread would set in. This rarely happens to me now, thanks to actually enjoying the job I have. (Quite a novelty I think you’ll agree… 3.5 years later and I still love it).

I guess everyone has their own Sunday rituals, and there’s most likely a lot of overlap…

My ideal Sunday morning/early afternoon would comprise of:

  • A lie-in (not feeling too hot because my husband has turned the heating on)
  • A bacon and egg sandwich
  • Multiple cups of tea
  • A trip to the coast (this is weather-dependent).

Sunday evenings are spent preparing for the week ahead.

Hair needs to be washed (unless I’ve planned to go swimming on Monday night) and nails need to be painted. I also like to double cleanse my skin and then treat it to a 30 minute moisture mask, which is great to combat all of the central heating if I’ve been a hermit at the weekend.

Dinner has to be easy to prepare, and even easier to clean up. There’s no part of me that wants to spend more than an hour in the kitchen on a Sunday night.

It’s 5.37pm, and it’s time to start the evening rituals!
